On June 24th, I will be embarking on my first foreign excursion (besides Canada). On that day, I will leave from Seattle and make a stop in Iceland to travel to Oslo, Norway for the International Summer School at the University of Oslo. I am very excited to take Intensive Elementary Norwegian and Norwegian Literature. While I'm there, I plan to see as much of Norway as possible! This includes going on weekend excursions that the Summer School plans. I will be going to Bergen on one weekend. I have choices for other weekends -- I was thinking of white-water rafting? We'll see.
After I am finished with the International Summer School, I will visit relatives throughout Norway! To finish off my European adventure, I will take the train to Italy, where I will spend time with my friend, Lucia.
As a side note, I found out today that I received a $1500 scholarship from the Sons of Norway for my studies at the University of Oslo.
